Letchworth State Park is called the Grand Canyon of the East. The Genesee River runs through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs as high as 600 feet, surrounded by forest. Hikers have 66 miles of trails, and there are also trails for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The park offers nature, history and performing arts programs, guided walks and tours, and camping and cabins.
