The 587-acre Erie Bluffs State Park lies along the Lake Erie shoreline in western Erie County, twelve miles west of the city of Erie. It has one mile of shoreline and 90-foot bluffs overlooking the lake. Elk Creek is a shallow steelhead fishery, and the park protects several plant species of conservation concern, uncommon black oak woodland and savannah, Great Lakes sand barrens and forested wetlands. Only a small part of the park is developed, and there is no campground.
