Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park is a birder's paradise along the Rio Grande. About 360 bird species have been reported here, along with butterflies, javelinas and other wildlife. The park is the headquarters of the World Birding Center. Native plants draw butterflies, and the family-friendly park offers trails and wildlife watching in the subtropical river valley.
