Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula sits on the shore of huge Lake Eufaula, a reservoir of about 46,000 acres on the Alabama-Georgia line. The lake is known for its bass fishing, and the park is a favorite for anglers and vacationers. The park offers a lodge, a convention center, a marina and championship golf, making it one of the more full-service resort parks in the state. Cabins, campsites and lake views round out the choices for visitors of all kinds. Admission is $5 for adults 12 and older, $2 for children 4 to 11 and seniors 62 and older, and free for children under 4. It works well for family reunions, fishing weekends and group events.
